What is the Soul Urn in Deadlock?

There are a ton of different objectives on the map in Deadlock, giving you more to do than just hit creeps and the enemy heroes. One of these is the Soul Urn. Here’s everything you need to know about the Soul Urn in Deadlock.

What is the Soul Urn?

The Soul Urn is an objective that spawns 10 minutes into the game. It spawns in the chalk square next to the purple and yellow lanes, and the goal is to transport it from one lane to the other. To pick it up and deliver it, all you need to do is stand in the chalk square for a few seconds. Once you pick it up, you are unable to attack, use items, or use abilities. However, you can still melee, parry, and dodge, and you have a movement speed bonus.

You can drop the Urn at any time by holding F, although generally you’ll just want to run as fast as you can to deliver it to the drop-off point – hopefully with the help of your team! Once it’s dropped off, it will respawn again at the next five minute interval. For example, if you turn it in at 16:00 minutes into the game, it will respawn at 20:00.

What Does the Soul Urn Give in Deadlock?

Turning in the Urn can be a big deal as it gives your team a large number of souls. This scales based on the length of the match and the difference in team net worth. Also, the player that captures the Urn will receive a bonus 25% souls and 1 ability point.

When the Deadlock Soul Urn is turned in some souls fly out and can be denied by the enemy team. Make sure to secure them by either using your melee attack or shooting them down once you turn in the Soul Urn.
